SMS Terms & Consent

Last Updated: September 2, 2026

1. About These SMS Terms

Tune-Up Golf™ is owned and operated by Express One Industries. These SMS Terms & Consent provisions describe how Tune-Up Golf may use text messaging and similar mobile communications in connection with its services.

These terms supplement the Tune-Up Golf Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Types of Text Messages You May Receive

Depending on your relationship with Tune-Up Golf and the permissions you provide, text messages may include:

  • Golf-game invitations
  • RSVP confirmations and updates
  • Game-full notices
  • Tee-time assignments
  • Playing-group assignments
  • Game changes or cancellations
  • Night-before or morning-of game reminders
  • Tournament registration messages
  • Tournament payment or status information
  • Instructor inquiry notifications
  • Account and security notifications
  • Billing or subscription notices
  • Support-related communications
  • Marketing or promotional messages where proper consent has been provided

3. Invitation Messages

Tune-Up Golf golf-game invitations are intended to clearly identify the organizer and the applicable golf course or event so recipients understand who is inviting them and why they are receiving the message.

For example, an invitation may state that a specific organizer invited the recipient to a golf game at a particular golf course and provide a link or instructions to respond.

4. Consent to Receive SMS Messages

Where consent is required, you consent to receive text messages from Tune-Up Golf at the mobile telephone number you provide.

Consent may be provided through account registration, game participation, tournament registration, Find a Game, an online form, an invitation response, another Tune-Up Golf consent flow, or another legally permitted method.

5. Transactional and Service-Related Messages

Some text messages are primarily transactional or service-related. Examples include an invitation you requested or accepted, RSVP confirmations, tee-time assignments, changes to a game, account notices, or tournament updates.

Transactional messaging may be subject to different legal requirements than promotional marketing messages.

6. Marketing Messages

Tune-Up Golf may send marketing or promotional text messages where appropriate consent has been obtained and where permitted by applicable law.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing Tune-Up Golf products or services unless otherwise permitted by law.

7. Message Frequency

Message frequency will vary depending on how you use Tune-Up Golf, the number of games or tournaments in which you participate, your account settings, organizer activity, and any marketing permissions you provide.

For example, a golfer participating in several games may receive separate invitations, reminders, tee-time updates, or other game-related messages.

8. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier and mobile plan. Tune-Up Golf is not responsible for carrier charges.

9. Opting Out of Marketing SMS

You may opt out of Tune-Up Golf marketing text messages by following the opt-out instructions contained in the applicable message.

Common opt-out instructions may include replying STOP or another legally recognized keyword where supported by the messaging system.

After an opt-out request is processed, you may receive a final confirmation message.

10. Transactional Messages After Marketing Opt-Out

Opting out of marketing messages does not necessarily prevent Tune-Up Golf from sending legally permitted transactional or service-related communications that are necessary to provide a service you requested.

For example, if you register for a tournament or participate in a game, certain operational communications may still be necessary to provide that service, subject to applicable law and your available communication preferences.

11. Help

Where supported, users may reply HELP to receive information about the messaging program, or they may contact Tune-Up Golf through the Support or Contact pages.

12. Accurate Mobile Number

You are responsible for providing a mobile number that you are authorized to use.

If your mobile number changes or is reassigned, you should update your Tune-Up Golf account information or notify Tune-Up Golf as soon as reasonably possible.

13. Carrier Availability

Text message delivery depends on wireless carriers, networks, devices, service availability, and third-party messaging providers.

Tune-Up Golf does not guarantee that every SMS message will be delivered, delivered immediately, or received in the intended order.

14. Automated Technology

Tune-Up Golf may use automated technology to send messages triggered by account activity, game activity, organizer actions, tournament status, scheduled reminders, or other platform workflows.

15. Organizer-Generated Messages

Certain Tune-Up Golf messages may be initiated by independent game organizers, tournament operators, instructors, or other users through Tune-Up Golf’s platform.

Organizers and other users are responsible for using Tune-Up Golf messaging tools in accordance with applicable law and Tune-Up Golf policies.

16. No Spam or Unauthorized Messaging

Users may not use Tune-Up Golf messaging tools to send unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, deceptive, unsolicited, or abusive messages.

Tune-Up Golf may suspend or restrict messaging access where misuse is detected.

17. Privacy

Information associated with text messaging is handled according to the Tune-Up Golf Privacy Policy.

Tune-Up Golf may retain records relating to consent, opt-outs, message delivery, timestamps, or communication status as reasonably necessary for platform operation, compliance, troubleshooting, and recordkeeping.

18. Third-Party Messaging Providers

Tune-Up Golf may use independent telecommunications, CRM, messaging, or technology providers to send and manage SMS communications.

Those providers may process information necessary to provide messaging services.

19. Changes to Messaging Programs

Tune-Up Golf may modify, suspend, or discontinue any SMS program, message type, short code, long code, telephone number, keyword, or related service at any time.

20. Changes to These SMS Terms

Tune-Up Golf may update these SMS Terms & Consent provisions from time to time to reflect changes in services, law, carrier requirements, technology, or business practices.
